Not Recycle = Better Economy?
When I first came to Japan I was impressed about the existance of "Recycle shops". I these stores it is possible to buy many used stuff, including electronics, refrigerator, furniture, CDs, and Doraemon dolls. But now, this is going to change starting next month. Prime Minister Koizumi has encoureged a law in order to ban the selling of used stuff in stores in order to try people to buy more new things instead. Supposedly, this will help the japanese economy wich is in recession, but what about the ecology? My theory is also that new electronics use more efficient electricity than the old ones. Who knows? Anyway I got my refrigerator, microwave and washing machine very cheap fro mthese stores, now it will be not possible...

Koizumi is like all other politicians : just thinking to increase ratios and rentability during their amandment period, and the rest : who cares :)
