touristing kitakyushu, part5 (kokura castle)

This is the last part of the touristing kitakyushu series... to see the other parts please check out the former posts..
"Built in 1602, Kokura Castle used to have a large castle tower. However, the castle, together with its tower, was destroyed in an 1837 fire. The present castle tower, which is smaller, was rebuilt in 1959. From the very top of the tower, one can enjoy a gorgeous view of the entire town of Kokura."
Now the castle is just some meters behind a huge yellow shopping center. Inside the castle there is a reproduction of how kokura looked before and maybe is the best thing on it. Also there are some moving robots that show how the life in the castle used to be. At the nearly top we watched an anime movie about the city of kitakyushu about some racoons or alike, not sure. it was fun.
we also went to the garden (extra money has to be paid) but maybe in spring is more pretty. also in the shopping center (riverwalk) there is an art gallery. It is a good place for a leasure day. I hope to have more chance to explore around kokura, i have been only once.
